I would like to take a poll: Who would like to see a Salute to Clint Walker on the Western Channel?

 

 I for one would love to see one. I this would be great.

I think it's a wonderful idea for them to have a salute to Clint Walker! I've seen them do this sort of thing for other stars who have passed on. Why not do it for Clint NOW? I'm sure he would really appreciate it & his fans would be quite happy to see alot more of this very handsome & talented man! We're so grateful to be seeing Cheyenne again so we'd be even more thrilled to see a salute to Clint! He's done some GREAT movies over the years!How about it Encore Western Channel??

THAT is a GREAT idea!  There has been a great upsurge in interest in Clint Walker since Cheyenne began to be re-aired on Encore Western.  Just look at the growing number of CW clips on Youtube, and comments on other 'boards' online, plus reports of his immense popularity at Western Legends shows throughout the West lately.  How to account for this?  Clint Walker himself.  He has legions of fans who grew up on Cheyenne and developed a great appreciation for the actor and the man, and have carried it forward to current time.  We have followed his film career too, and love his work, which is surprisingly wide-ranging.  He has been inducted into the Cowboy/Western hall of fame (not sure of the exact name), and is recognized as a Hollywood legend. He just had his 82nd birthday. Let's honor this widely loved man now!!  He very much deserves it!

Oh Yes Definitely!!! I think Saluting Clint Walker is a great idea!!! and to such a GOOD man!!! You have my vote 200%!! He deserves to be recognized for his work.  Let's not wait until it's too late..I"m positive he would appreciate being shown how much his fans out here LOVE him!!

Yes, most definitely! How wonderful it would be to see Clint Walker finally recognized and honored as he should have been so long ago.  I have posted numerous tributes to Clint on youtube and still, I get messages everyday asking for more.  Many of us hunt for movies, tv shows, magazine articles, and the like anywhere we can think of just to be able to see more of him now and when he was at the peak of his career.  You have my vote! :smileyhappy:

What a great idea.  It is such fun seeing the 'Cheyenne" episodes.  No one looks as he does on a horse.

I hope they keep the show on for a long time.

Yo "Cowgirl" - great idea!  Count us in!  Clint Walker is a true western icon.  Besides a Salute for this great star, I'd love to see more of his movies on DVD and more than 15 episodes of that Pillar-of-Western-Shows, CHEYENNE.

 

Only the first year has been released on DVD; the show ran from 1955 to 1962 with, I believe, a total of 108 episodes!

 

The "Big Man Himself" deserves a Salute and more!

 

He certainly has a very large fan base that I can see from surfing the web.  Let's circle the wagons around him and give him our support.

In my humble opinion Clint Walker is one of the greatest Western Stars ever. Given the right backing he would have been the top box office draw of his time...  I will watch any/all Clint Walker movies whenever they are shown!  Outstanding!
